Dallas College Brookhaven's volleyball team beat Seminole State on the road Wednesday in a five-set match. The Bears won, 25-21, 25-15, 15-25, 20-25, 15-11.
The win improved the Bears' overall record to 2-1.
Ariel Austin led the way with 21 kills on 55 total attacks. Kelsey Trevino had 10 kills on 28 total attacks. Asia Salter and Cearria Traylor both contributed six kills apiece, while Natalie Hawkins and Madison Beasley both had five.
Brookhaven hit .190 as a team, banging down 55 kills in 158 swings. Jadyn Ketner and Camryn Dawley each had two of the Bears' seven aces. Ketner finished with 22 digs, while Austin had 16, Trevino 12 and Dawley 11. The Bears had 20 block assists to Seminole State's six.
Following the Ranger Wrangler Classic, the Bears host North Central Texas College 1 p.m. Sept. 1.
