Trojans host NJCAA South Central District Golf Championship April 28-29

Currently ranked #16 nationally, the Seminole State Trojans hope to secure an entry in the NJCAA Men's Division 2 Golf Championship as they host and compete in the NJCAA Men's Division 2 South Central District Championship Friday and Saturday, April 28-29 at the Shawnee Country Club.

In addition to Seminole State, the field for the event includes Hesston College of Kansas, Murray State College of Oklahoma, Mineral Area College of Missouri, State Fair Community College of Missouri, North Central Missouri College, and Metropolitan Community College of Kansas City.  The top 2 teams from the tournament earn a berth in the national tournament to be held in May at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Indiana.  Additionally, the top 2 individual finishers who are not members of the two top-qualifying teams will earn individual slots in the national tournament.

The first two rounds of the South Central District Championship will be played on Friday, August 28 beginning with tee times at 8:30 a.m.  The final round is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

There is no admission charge for spectators, but those who wish to rent a motorized cart to follow players should plan to arrive early due to limited availability.  To keep track of the teams, supporters of the program can also access updated live scoring through Golfstat at https://results.golfstat.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=teamPlayer&tid=27390
