TROJANS SOFTBALL ENTER REGIONAL TOURNAMENT # 1 SEED

Congratulations to the Seminole State College Trojans Softball team on a record breaking regular season with a conference record of 30-2 and overall record of 42-5 that included a remarkable 36 game winning streak.   The Trojans enter this weekend's NJCAA Region II Regional Softball Tournament hosted at Rose State College as the #1 seed.   Seminole State's first game will be Friday, May 4th at 2:00 p.m.

The Trojans had two players named "Player of Week" by NJCAA Region II this season.  Sophomore Haley Pomplun of Choctaw received the honor the week of March 5th and Kristen Prieto of Moore received the honor the week of April 2nd.  Two SSC pitchers were also named "Pitcher of the Week" by NJCAA Region II throughout the season.  Freshman Ally Lewis of Enid received the honor the week of April 9th while sophomore Turner Whorton of Hollis received the honor the week of April 9th.   This team has stayed in the NJCAA Division I top 20 National Rankings since March 13th climbing as high as 10th.  Coach Amber Flores said "one of our team goals of the season was to win 40 games, and we are super excited to be the #1 seed in the regional tournament".  Stay update to date on the Trojans progress throughout the tournament at www.sscathletics.com
