Eastfield Volleyball Earns Two More to Move to 11-0

MESQUITE, Texas -- Dallas College Eastfield's ninth-ranked volleyball team notched two more victories Saturday to run its record to 11-0.

The Harvester Bees beat Dallas Christian College in the first match of the day, 25-18, 25-14, 25-13. The Harvesters used a balanced attack and strong serving to keep DCC out of system most of the match.

"Everyone contributed to this victory," Eastfield head coach Phil Nickel said. "Everyone has been working hard in practice, and it's great to see everyone able to contribute in the matches."

The second match saw the Harvesters take on Seminole State College from Oklahoma. The first set was competitive most of the way until Eastfield pulled away at the end to win the first set 25-20 behind some strong serving and defense from Abby Hoss. Eastfield took control of the second set, coasting to a 25-15 set victory to take a 2-0 lead in the match/. The Bees closed out the match with a 25-17 victory in the third set.

The Harvesters will return to action on Tuesday at Southwestern Adventist University before heading to Oklahoma for away matches at Seminole State and Rose State.
