Cowboys Hold off Late Seminole Run to Remain in 1st Place in OCAC

Seminole, OK- Connors State rode second-half charges to a road win at Seminole State on Monday Night inside Raymond Harber Fieldhouse. The Cowboys up 2 at the half, had to hold off a furious Seminole comeback in the final 10 minutes to came away with a 81-76 win on Monday in Seminole.

The Cowboys (22-2, 9-1 OCAC) lead a majority of the game and increased there lead to 9 points coming out of the Halftime Break, but only to see Seminole answer right back and tie the game and then eventually take the lead with about 7 Minutes remaining. From the 7 minute mark on the Cowboys and Trojans went back and forth until the cowboys took the lead for good on a Buddy Hammer Jr Dunk with just under 1 minute remaining in regulation. Connors would put the game away with two defensive stops and at the Foul Line for a crucial OCAC Road victory to remain in a 1st place tie.

Bradyn Hubbard led three Cowboys in double figures with 25 points. Buddy Hammer Jr had 20, and Donyae May had 18 points on the night. Khamani Cooper and Antonio Green Jr had 8. While Percy Green added 2 Points off the Bench in the victory. 
 
The Cowboys shot 42 percent from the field, and 40 percent from the Three Point Range.
 
The Cowboys also shot an outstanding 25-28 from the Free Throw Line going 89 percent for the game.
 
The Cowboys at Home on Thursday Night to take on Murray State College. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
